Chanel Iman and Davon Godchaux's Texas ranch is a cowboy's dream!

The supermodel, 35, and the New Orleans Saints defensive tackle, 31, opened the doors to their newly-built abode located 90 minutes outside of Dallas and got candid about why it's the perfect fit for their family in a recent interview with Architectural Digest.

After building a four-horse barn on their new property, the couple found their new home to be exactly what their family needed.

"Being around horses is very therapeutic and peaceful. It just helps you get your mind right," Godchaux told AD of their home, where he and his family enjoy going out to ride, and just observing the animals together.

Iman further elaborated on why the Lone Star State was a fit for their family. "Texas gave us the freedom to dream bigger," she said. "We love the land, the openness, being surrounded by nature. That's really what brought us here, and it's a dream come true."

The couple welcomed their daughter Capri in 2023, and Iman has two older daughters, Cali and Cassie, from her previous marriage to Sterling Shepard. She's also a stepmom to Godchaux's son from his previous relationship.

In addition to their massive horse barn, the animal-loving family also owns land nearby with nearly 50 head of cattle.

"It's everything we ever wanted in Texas — I would say it's a cowboy's dream home," Iman told the outlet of their newly-outfitted abode and country lifestyle.

Splashes of color are visible in every corner inside their home — from the rust-colored dining room to their Granny Smith apple green primary bedroom.

"I'm not into a lot of big white walls — we wanted to see color in this house," Godchaux said of their dining room, which greets guests from the entryway. Iman added, "We wanted it to feel welcoming and warm the moment you walk in."

The model added that her husband, whom she married in 2024, is really "into decorating, and he loves art and fashion." This made curating their Texas family retreat easy, as design is "kind of our love language," she says.

"We wanted this home to feel personal and collected rather than overly designed," said Iman, who worked with 2id to draw inspiration from the home's surroundings and reflect it in the rich color palette and country-infused furnishings.
