The main-stage festivities at Coachella 2026 ended earlier than expected during its opening night.

Shortly before EDM star Anyma was about to go on, the event's organizers announced that the DJ — whose show was scheduled for midnight on Friday, right after Sabrina Carpenter's headlining set — would no longer perform.

Coachella broke the news that it had canceled the artist's set on its official Instagram, citing weather concerns.

"Due to strong wind conditions affecting Anyma's stage build, he is unable to perform tonight," read the statement. "Coachella and Anyma have made this decision together with your safety as the priority."

Anyma, who rose to fame as half of the EDM duo Tale of Us, apologized to his fans for the last-minute change in a comment on Coachella's announcement post.

"I'm sorry, everyone," he wrote. "We've done everything in our control to build the show I've worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we're working on a solution now."

The festival did not immediately announce whether Anyma's set would be rescheduled for later in the weekend, nor did it clarify whether the musician would still perform during weekend 2 as originally planned.

Anyma is not the first artist whose Coachella show was canceled this year. On Wednesday, the punk group Lambrini Girls announced that they could not perform their scheduled set because vocalist Phoebe Lunny had suffered a serious injury.

"We have to pull out of Coachella and reschedule our whole American headline tour," Lunny said in a statement on the band's official Instagram. "Long story short: I fractured my neck and have an acute brain injury."

Lunny continued, "We hope and pray there's some universe we get to play next year instead," adding, "Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I'm lucky and expect a speedy recovery thank f--- lol."

Carpenter's headlining set on Friday night boasted hits from her albums *Man's Best Friend* and *Short n' Sweet*. The performance featured surprise guest appearances from Susan Sarandon and Will Ferrell, as well as pre-recorded cameos from Samuel L. Jackson and Sam Elliott.
