Ohio guard Aidan Hadaway delivered an emotional postgame rant after his team fell again to their longtime rival, Toledo.
This result extended Toledo’s winning streak in the matchup to 11 games and left Hadaway visibly frustrated.
The game ended with Toledo defeating Ohio on the Bobcats’ home floor, 79-67.
Following the game, Hadaway spoke candidly to reporters and pushed back against the idea that Toledo was the superior team.
“That team’s not better than us,” he said post-game. “When they see they’re playing the Bobcats, they just play to the best of their ability. They foul every possession…good for them.”
He argued that the outcome did not reflect the true balance between the two teams.
The Bobcats battled throughout the game and kept the contest competitive deep into the second half, but ultimately could not make enough plays down the stretch to break Toledo’s hold on the rivalry.

“The fouling,” Hadaway continued. “All they did was just grab us, hold us. The refs can only do so much. They can’t call it every single time. So, I mean, give them credit. They play physical. They foul every possession. So, I mean, good job. Good for them.”
The loss also proved to be a critical contest as the college basketball regular season winds down.

Ohio has two more games this coming week against UMass and the undefeated Miami of Ohio, respectively.
Toledo will also face Miami of Ohio on Tuesday, and will end the year with Buffalo on Friday.
Both teams are jockeying for position in the upcoming MAC Tournament.
Toledo, now at 16-13 with a 10-6 record in league play, are fourth.
Ohio, at 15-14 and 9-7 in the conference, are right behind at fifth.
