It's official: your favorite comfort show is leaving Netflix.
On June 15, Netflix announced on X that Gilmore Girls — the beloved comedy-drama starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as mother-daughter duo Lorelai and Rory Gilmore — is leaving the streaming platform after 12 years.
"It's a show? It's a lifestyle. It's a religion," the post read. "We are sorry to say that Gilmore Girls Seasons 1-7 will be leaving Netflix in the US on June 30. Raising a cup of coffee to every fan who visited Stars Hollow with us."
In the weeks prior, the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and The Lego Movie were taken off the streamer, and most recently, The Iron Claw left on June 19.

Gilmore Girls

The beloved series aired on The WB (now The CW) and ran from 2000 until 2007. When it was released on Netflix in 2014, it adopted a whole new audience of viewers and became such a hit that the streamer greenlit a sequel series, titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (which yes, will remain on the platform).
When it's leaving: June 30, 2026.

Sex and the City

Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, Charlotte York and Samantha Jones' time on Netflix is coming to an end. Sex and the City — starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall, respectively —went on the streamer in April 2024 as part of a licensing deal with HBO parent company Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Zoey 101

The Expendables1, 2, 3 and 4
