Jerry Hall has claimed that Faithful blood runs in her family after one of her uncles helped catch Bonnie and Clyde.
The Celebrity Traitors star and former model suggested her relative was one of the six men who ambushed and killed the US outlaws in 1934.
Speaking on the first episode of the BBC game show in which Faithful contestants attempt to seek out the Traitors among them, Hall explained why she would be a good Faithful, stating: “My relations were all law enforcement officers.
“My uncle was a Texan ranger – he caught Bonnie and Clyde. So beneath this dumb blonde is a smart brunette.”

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow evaded the authorities between 1932 and 1934 after being linked to a series of murders, kidnappings and robberies across the US.
They became notorious for holding up banks, stores and petrol stations and attracted headlines for their shoot-outs with police and daring getaways.
They were eventually ambushed and shot dead by six law enforcement officers who had concealed themselves in the Louisiana woods, including two Texas rangers, Captain Frank Hamer and Maney Gault.

Also involved in the operation were Bob Alcorn and Ted Hinton, both Dallas county deputies, Henderson Jordan, the Bienville parish sheriff, and Prentiss Oakley, a Bienville parish deputy.

While neither of Hall’s uncles who are known publicly – Walter Zane Sheffield and Gerald Hall – match the Texas rangers known for their involvement, there is a possibility she had more uncles.
Bonnie and Clyde’s story, including the couple’s final ambush, was immortalised in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty.

Hall was born in Gonzales, Texas, in 1956, before leaving home at the age of 21 to pursue a modelling career.
The 70-year-old is among the contestants competing in the second series of the celebrity version of The Traitors. The season’s first episode, which aired on Thursday, was the show’s most-watched debut in the UK, with an average of 8.9 million viewers.
The cast of the second series includes Hall, actor Richard E Grant, musician James Blunt and comedians Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan and James Acaster.
Thursday’s episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Acaster and broadcaster Amol Rajan fighting for their spot on the show.
The game show follows the celebrity contestants – the majority of whom are known as Faithfuls – as they try to identify the Traitors among them, who “kill” players in the middle of the night.
The first celebrity spin-off, won by traitor Alan Carr, was a ratings hit and won a slew of awards.
Hall’s agents were approached for comment.
