Animal lovers across the country are celebrating a special anniversary.

April 10 marks the ASPCA's 160th anniversary. In celebration of the organization's major milestone, famous adopters and animal rescue advocates are spreading the word. Stars like Patrick Wilson, Bronwyn Newport, and Mayim Bialik have shared social media posts thanking the ASPCA for its decades of work rescuing animals, finding them homes, and fighting for their legal rights.

The ASPCA's anniversary falls on ASPCA Giving Day, the organization's annual push for support, making it an ideal time to explore donating to, fostering for, and volunteering with the animal welfare organization.

"Animals have always been such an important part of my life and my family, and I truly can't imagine our home without them. I'm so grateful for the love and joy they bring us every day. Supporting the ASPCA's Giving Day, especially as they celebrate 160 years of incredible work, feels really meaningful to me," Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt said about the ASPCA's anniversary in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. "It's a beautiful reminder that even the smallest acts of compassion – like choosing adoption or supporting organizations like the ASPCA – can make a lasting difference for animals in need."

NBA player Myles Turner, who founded the animal welfare nonprofit The Casper Foundation with his girlfriend Aysia Janelle McCloud, also shared a statement in honor of the ASPCA.

"The ASPCA's mission resonates because it's really about giving animals a fair chance. They're on the ground, supporting rescues, advocating for better treatment, and creating real pathways for animals to find homes. That kind of work matters. It's a mission closely aligned with what we're building through The Casper Foundation. We created it to support shelters, advocate for animals who don't have a voice, and make it easier for more people to be part of the solution," he shared.
