- Knicks radio analyst Monica McNutt responded to the backlash for her hot mic moment questioning why Taylor Swift was at Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
- "I am wrong, apparently, because she's got an OG Amar'e Stoudemire jersey," McNutt said. "I misspoke."
- Fans flooded social media with photographic evidence of Swift's fandom after McNutt remarked, "Get out of here, girl."
One New York radio broadcaster is issuing an apology for not being really familiar with Taylor Swift's game.
At the start of Game 4 of the NBA Finals, between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, MSG Network radio analyst Monica McNutt spotted the pop star courtside on "Celebrity Row" and was caught on a hot mic questioning why she was in attendance.
"She's not a Knicks fan," McNutt muttered to her colleague Tyler Murray. "Get out of here, girl."

In a New York minute, fans (including Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy) put forth a full-court press of photographic evidence of the singer's Knicks fandom over the past 12 years, forcing the analyst to recant.
"Swifties, I appreciate your passion. I said what I said," McNutt told TMZ when a reporter caught her on a Manhattan street Thursday morning. "And here's the deal, if I'm wrong — and I am wrong, apparently, because she's got an OG Amar'e Stoudemire jersey. I misspoke, I did not know."

As McNutt explained, she just did a piece on "Celebrity Row" at Madison Square Garden and during her five years with the Knicks, she had grown accustomed to seeing regulars like Ben Stiller, his wife Christine Taylor, Spike Lee, and rapper Fat Joe.

"I have not seen [Swift] here this year or last year," McNutt explained. But she did notice the singer in Cleveland with her fiance Travis Kelce for the Knicks-Cavaliers game during the Eastern Conference Finals.
"Obviously, Travis supports the Cavs," McNutt said. "She did not have on her Knicks paraphernalia, so I did not know of her Knicks loyalty… I did not know, and I apologize if I'm wrong, and apparently I'm wrong."

McNutt was even more impressed that Swift was a fan during "the Amar'e Stoudemire era" in 2014 when she first moved to New York. The injury-plagued power forward was ultimately waived from the team after the Knicks finished the season with an abysmal 17-65 record.
"So shout out to her because that means she's been in the trenches," McNutt noted.

Fortunately for the radio analyst, her viral hot mic moment was just that, as the Knicks battled back from a historic 29-point deficit to beat the Spurs by one point.
After the way the game ended, "nobody cared about this at all," she told TMZ. "I knew it was a big deal on the internet, but I was too busy enjoying the actual game."
