Harry Jowsey is the star of the new Netflix reality dating series Let’s Marry Harry.

Released on Aug. 5, the series follows the perpetual bachelor as he enlists the help of famous friends to find love among 20 women competing for his affection.

Jowsey skyrocketed to fame after multiple appearances (and relationships) on reality shows.

Harry Jowsey has become Netflix’s most eligible bachelor, and he’s (allegedly) ready to settle down.

Let’s Marry Harry, the new reality dating series premiering on Aug. 5, follows 20 women hoping to fall in love with — and marry — the streamer’s breakout heartthrob. Helping Jowsey navigate the experience are podcast star Alex Cooper (who produced the series through her Unwell network) and his three best friends, Amanda Kloots, Georgia Hassarati (Jowsey’s ex-girlfriend), and Sonny Henty (his “honorary brother”). “If it were up to me, I’d probably mess this up,” the Australian bachelor says in the trailer for the series. “That’s why my friends are here to guide me in the right direction.”

Over the course of his tenure on reality TV, Jowsey has developed quite the reputation for being a bit of a cad. He’s claimed he’s ready to settle down in the past, so what makes this time different? For one thing, Jowsey’s potential love matches have been hand-picked by Cooper. And his friends will get to decide who stays and who goes.

For those unfamiliar with Jowsey’s rise to stardom and why 20 single women are vying to become his wife, here’s everything you about his journey from Too Hot to Handle and Perfect Match to Let’s Marry Harry.

Who is Harry Jowsey?

Jowsey was born on May 24, 1997, in Queensland, Australia. The 29-year-old is best known for his multiple appearances on reality dating shows (mostly of the Netflix variety), through which he has become a social media influencer. He hosts the SiriusXM podcast Boyfriend Material, where he interviews fellow reality TV stars, with recent guests including Lisa Vanderpump and Love Island’s Dylan Wrona.

He made his first foray into reality TV in 2018, on the New Zealand dating competition series Heartbreak Island, where he fell head over heels for contestant Georgia Bryers. Jowsey and Bryers coupled up and won the series’ cash prize of $100,000, but they sadly split up six months later.

Reflecting on their breakup two years later, Jowsey told The Sunthat “Georgia didn’t appreciate girls commenting on my Instagram pics. We drifted apart.”

Following his debut on Heartbreak Island, Jowsey competed on the first season of Too Hot to Handle in 2020. The Netflix reality series sends a group of attractive singles with a history of having casual flings to a beach house, where they’re forbidden from touching each other (or themselves) in a sexual manner. Every time the cardinal rule is broken, cash is subtracted from the $100,000 prize pot. Jowsey was an instant fan-favorite and became one of the winners of the series, splitting the remaining $75,000 prize with nine fellow contestants.

In 2021, Jowsey competed on the MTV dating reality series Match Me If You Can, followed by an appearance on the Netflix competition series The Floor Is Lava in 2022. Jowsey returned home in 2023 to compete on The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition, the seventh season of the hit reality series’ Aussie spinoff, where he made headlines for claiming that he tossed his underwear in the trash after wearing them once.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, Jowsey called the competition “the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” and assured viewers he was just joking about the underwear. Jowsey and his partner, Love Island Australia’s Teddy Briggs, were the eighth team to be eliminated.

In 2023, Jowsey also competed on season 32 of Dancing With the Stars, where he was paired up with Rylee Arnold, a first-time professional dancer on the series. The duo were eliminated sixth, following their performance on the show’s Taylor Swift-themed night, when they danced to “August” and it looked like they might have actually kissed. (Jowsey told Entertainment Weekly they didn’t.)

Jowsey returned to Netflix in 2024 for the second season of Perfect Match, the crossover series featuring former contestants from the streamer’s reality hits, including The Circle and Too Hot to Handle. Though he claimed to be interested in rehabbing his “f---boy” reputation, Jowsey’s actions on the series indicated otherwise, and he was frequently called out by fellow contestants, including his friend, Dom Gabriel.

“He really did come into the show saying that he was a changed man and wanted to be a changed man, and he wanted to shed kind of the reputation that he had had leading up [to his time] on Perfect Match,” host Nick Lachey told PEOPLE. “And unfortunately, I think he just did nothing but solidify the reputation that he had.”

The following year, Jowsey charmed his way into a cameo appearance in the Netflix rom-com The Wrong Paris, which is set in the world of reality dating competition shows.

Who has Jowsey dated?

Jowsey’s dating history is obviously deeply intertwined with his reality TV career. He met Francesca Farago while filming the first season of Too Hot To Handle in 2019. They coupled up and were among the season’s 10 winners, but they split up when maintaining a long-distance relationship proved too difficult.

Jowsey and Farago rekindled their romance eight months later, and in May 2020, they revealed their engagement during a Too Hot to Handle reunion special. The couple announced their break-up the following month in a pair of videos posted to their respective YouTube channels. “I thought we were going to end up together. I thought we were going to get married,” said Farago, adding that Jowsey “couldn’t do long-distance anymore.”

For his part, Jowsey said that although his feelings for her had changed, “I’m always gonna love Francesca. I’m always gonna have a soft spot in my heart for her.” The couple tried to get back together a second time, but during a 2021 appearance on the Domenick Nati Show, Farago said that Jowsey was “extremely disrespectful” to her online and confirmed that they were officially over.

In November 2020, model and influencer Julia Rose revealed that she dated Jowsey for about a week. “It was super fast, [and] a lot of different red flags came up,” Rose told Logan Paul on his podcast. During an April 2021 appearance on the BFFs podcast, Jowsey described the fling as a “messy situation” and claimed that Rose cheated on him with her ex, influencer Jake Paul.

Jowsey next dated Georgia Hassarati, a fellow Aussie who competed on season 3 of Too Hot to Handle. The pair met in June 2022 and dated for a few months before splitting up, but they got back together in February 2023. That summer, Jowsey went on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where he appeared to confirm their split, saying that his “last girlfriend” cheated on him. Hassarati denied the allegations in a series of since-deleted TikTok videos, in which she also accused Jowsey of infidelity and controlling behavior.

The two have since patched things up, with Hassarati becoming one of Jowsey’s trusted friends — trusted enough to help him choose a wife on Let’s Marry Harry.

Jowsey met his next girlfriend, Jessica Vestal, while filming his tumultuous season of Perfect Match in 2023. At the end of that season, Jowsey proved his haters right by sneaking a kiss with former contestant Melinda Melrose, thus breaking things off with Vestal. But Jowsey and Vestal continued dating until Jowsey was cast on Dancing With the Stars. On an episode of Nick Viall’s TheViall Files, Vestal called their October 2023 breakup “abrupt,” and cited his rumored relationship with DWTS partner Rylee Arnold.

“I was understanding of our relationship having to be a secret for a while, but I’m like, it’s kind of excruciating watching the world think you’re in love with someone else,” Vestal said. Regarding the Arnold rumors, Jowsey told PEOPLE, “We’re trying our best to focus on the dance, and whatever happens, happens. We’re just enjoying being together.” He later denied the romance in an April 2024 episode of his Boyfriend Material podcast.

The following May, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Jowsey was dating actress Lucy Hale, but their relationship appeared to be very brief.

Now that you know Jowsey’s dating history — or at least the very public parts of it — you can see why there are doubts about his ability to seriously commit to a long-term relationship, let alone marriage. But losing his father, who died in December 2024, has apparently given Jowsey a new outlook on relationships.

“Losing my father and then seeing all my sisters and their families and their husbands and how amazing that felt, I think those two coupled up together, it’s kind of the perfect recipe for me to be ready to fall in love,” Jowsey told PEOPLE in July 2025. The reality star also said he was feeling quite emotional thinking back on the ways in which his father had participated in the series behind the scenes. “I’m gonna be honest, I’ve already cried, over the weekend, just thinking about it.”

“I don’t know if I’m good at picking my relationships,” Jowsey admitted. “I think I’ve always found myself in a little bit of trouble, that’s probably mostly my fault. But this new show — Alex Cooper is leading this horse to water. She’s gonna be the one that’s gonna pick all the people and I think it’s my best shot at love.”
