Meghan McCain is revealing the reason why she hasn't been sharing photos of her newborn baby on social media.
In a candid statement shared to her Instagram Stories, the podcaster and mom of three, 41, explained that she hasn't been posting photos of her newborn, son Ransom, because she wants to "protect" her kids from "haters" on the Internet.
"I appreciate so many of you asking for pics and baby updates and I know a lot of you have been following my life since 2008 and I am so grateful," McCain said in her statement. "Everyone is happy and healthy, thank GOD."

"I will (possibly) share when I am in the baby moon maternity phase. It all gets harder as I get older," she explained. "For every wonderful person — I have just as many psychos, haters and stalkers (and so does Ben)."
"We give controversial political opinions for a living and both have for almost 20 years. I don't mind being polarizing when it comes to my work but I don't want to subject my kids to any of the bulls---. And it's my job to protect them. Please be patient with me, it's hard to navigate."
McCain shares her son Ransom and daughters Liberty Sage, 5, and Clover Jade, 2, with husband Ben Domenech.
In January, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that McCain had welcomed her third baby with Domenech. The couple's son, Ransom McCain Domenech, was born on Friday, Jan. 2.
“Everyone is happy, healthy and exhausted," McCain told PEOPLE in a statement. "We’re absolutely over the moon that our baby boy is here."
"We’re so grateful to the incredible doctors and medical staff who took such wonderful care of all of us," McCain continued. "Liberty and Clover are so excited to have a baby brother. Our family is so blessed."

McCain, whose parents are Cindy McCain and the late U.S. Senator John McCain, shared her pregnancy news while speaking with second lady Usha Vance for her podcast, 2Way's Citizen McCain with Meghan McCain. A rep for McCain later confirmed the news to PEOPLE.
"I hope you don't mind. I wanted to let you in on something that's private that I haven't talked about publicly yet," McCain told Vance, who is currently expecting her fourth baby with husband JD Vance.
"I have two little girls. They are almost 5 and almost 3. And I just am entering my second trimester, I'm pregnant with my third," she continued.
"I know this is a weird way to announce it, but I'm very nervous about it," McCain added. "It's a boy. I'm very nervous about having a boy. And I'm very nervous about having three children. Very."
