Prince William is frustrated because King Charles has consistently ignored his advice about Prince Harry.
According to a report from Reality Tea, an unnamed source says William has stopped trying to influence his father’s approach to reconciling with the Duke of Sussex.
The source explained that William no longer thinks he can change the King’s mind.
“Any advice he gives his father is met with indifference or even outright anger,” the source said, continuing: “So, he decided the best thing he can do is stop trying to help and let him do whatever he wants.”
The report states that William previously urged Charles not to trust Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, before their visit to the United Kingdom in July.
Despite William’s objections, Charles went ahead with a private family meeting at his Gloucestershire residence.
The source added that William felt he was being prepared for greater responsibility in the monarchy before Harry’s favored return.
“What’s really hurtful is that it seemed they were getting him ready to take over,” the source said. “Now, he’s suddenly been pushed aside while Charles rolls out the red carpet for Harry whenever he can.”
The report follows an earlier claim by The Sun last month that Charles invited Harry to stay at Buckingham Palace during a planned visit. However, the offer was reportedly rescinded when the state-side prince took to long to accept the offer.
The source described William’s reaction to this possibility as “bewildering and enraging,” noting that he has mostly given up trying to understand his father’s choices.

“He’s still hoping somebody else can talk sense into his father, but he’s not counting on it, and he’s done wasting his breath,” the source said.
This tension arises amid a public reassessment of Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the royal family.
The publication also reported that Queen Camilla is unhappy with social media posts Meghan made after the family reunion, and a royal author mentioned that Harry resented aspects of William and Kate’s earlier romance.
Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to the United States.
Since then, reports of tension between Harry and other royal family members, including William, have appeared regularly in British and American tabloids. Buckingham Palace has generally declined to comment on these reports as they typically do.
They made an exception in 2021 when Meghan made allegations of racism against a royal family member who allegedly questioned the skin color of Archie.
Royalists have accused Meghan and Harry of cashing in on their royal status with Netflix, podcast and book deals.
While Prince Williams is yet to confirm the rumors of tension, he is yet to be seen with his brother since his return to the U.K.
