More than a week has gone by since "Today" anchor Savannah Guthrie's mother was last seen, and the family is pleading to her kidnapper that they "will pay" for her return.
The search for Nancy Guthrie remains underway in Arizona, where authorities have said the 84-year-old was taken from her home near Tucson. The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating Guthrie's disappearance alongside the FBI, which is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to her recovery. Guthrie takes daily medication, and it could prove fatal if she does not receive it, according to law enforcement. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
On Feb. 7, the Sheriff's Department said detectives and agents are continuing to conduct follow-ups at Guthrie's residence and the surrounding areas, and law enforcement was seen at the home of Nancy's daughter Annie Guthrie on Saturday, according to CNN. The Sheriff's Department previously said on Feb. 6 that investigators are also "aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie" and are inspecting its authenticity.
President Donald Trump told reporters on Feb. 6 that "we have some clues, I think, that are very strong" in the case, adding, "We could have some answers coming up fairly soon."

Nancy Guthrie latest news: Family says 'we will pay' in new video
On Saturday, Feb. 7, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings, Annie and Camron, released a new video addressing their mother's kidnapper.
"We received your message and we understand," Savannah Guthrie said in the video, in which she spoke directly into the camera with her brother and sister by her side.
"We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay."

This was the third video the family has released directly addressing a possible abductor.
On Feb. 4, Guthrie and her siblings read a lengthy statement addressing reports that media outlets had received alleged ransom letters.
"We, too, have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media," Guthrie said. "As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We without a doubt that she's alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen. Please reach out to us."
The second video, released on Feb. 5, featured only Savannah's brother Camron, who told the kidnapper that "we want to hear from you."
"We haven't heard anything directly," he said. "We need you to reach out, and we need a way to communicate with you so that we can move forward. But first, we have to know that you have our mom. We want to talk to you, and we are waiting for contact."

In a Feb. 5 briefing, FBI special agent in charge Heith Janke said the bureau was investigating a ransom note that had "facts associated with a deadline" and a "monetary value they were asking for." The note mentioned two deadlines: one on Feb. 5 and another on Monday, Feb. 9.
"The ransom note that was distributed to the media did make a demand for 5 p.m. [on Feb. 5], and if a transfer wasn't made, then I think a second demand was for next Monday," Janke said on Feb. 5.
However, the note did not provide proof of life or establish a way for the family to communicate with the alleged kidnapper.
On Feb. 6, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said investigators were aware of a "new message regarding Nancy Guthrie" and were "actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity."
Nancy Guthrie disappearance timeline
Nancy Guthrie was last seen on Jan. 31, when she was dropped off at her home by family members. She was reported missing on Feb. 1, after failing to show up at church services.

Authorities provided the following timeline on Feb. 5:
Jan. 31 at 5:32 p.m.: Guthrie traveled to her family's house for a game night.
Jan. 31 at 9:48 p.m.: Her family dropped her back at home, and the garage door opened.
Jan. 31 at 9:50 p.m.: The garage door closed.
Feb. 1 at 1:47 a.m.: Doorbell camera in front of Guthrie's home disconnected.
Feb. 1 at 2:12 a.m.: Software for the smart home detected a person on the camera, but no video is available.
Feb. 1 at 2:28 a.m.: Guthrie's pacemaker app shows it was disconnected from her phone.
Feb. 1 at 11:56 a.m.: The family checks on her.
Feb. 1 at 12:03 p.m.: Family calls 911 to report her missing.
Feb. 1 at 12:15 p.m.: Patrol cars arrive.
Are there any suspects in Nancy Guthrie's disappearance?
The Pima County Sheriff's Department reiterated on Feb. 7 that investigators have "not identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles" connected to the case.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos previously noted on Feb. 5 that there were no persons of interest in the case but that authorities had also not ruled out any potential suspects. Nanos has also not identified a possible motive.
The only arrest that has been made in connection with the case has been a Southern California man who was accused of making an "impostor ransom demand."
