Darrell died at age 67 on April 22. On May 5, the Mohave County Medical Examiner's Office in Arizona confirmed his death was ruled a suicide. Ahead of the recent announcement, Brandon asked fans to "please allow some time as we gather things and get through these tough times."

"We appreciate all our Storage Wars fans! We will be back BIGGER and BETTER than ever," Brandon wrote. "Just remember it is all of you that make up 'The Wow Factor Baby.' We love and appreciate all the positive energy (any slander and malicious intent will be blocked and reported). Thank you all for your support."

Brandon first spoke out about the loss of his father in an April 30 Instagram post, explaining that the family needed "time to process and remember all the good that my father was and will continue to be through my son and me."

"The love we all have for this man and all his kindness is only a small portion of who he truly is," Brandon concluded in his post.

In the weeks since, Brandon has continued to pay tribute to his father with posts honoring their bond.

Brandon and Darrell made their debuts on Storage Wars during its first season in 2010. Darrell remained on the show through season 15 in 2023, while Brandon exited in its 10th season.

After Darrell retired from Storage Wars, he opened Havasu Show Me Your Junk. The reality star regularly posted about the store, calling it "a premier gift store for the person that has everything."
