Vanessa Trump is "worried" about boyfriend Tiger Woods' pain issues following his recent DUI arrest
The pro golfer was found with painkillers in his pocket after rolling his SUV last month, according to authorities
“[Vanessa] loves him and cares about him," a source tells PEOPLE. "She wants him to feel good, play well, and be happy"
Vanessa Trump is worried about her boyfriend, Tiger Woods, following the pro golfer's rollover crash and arrest on charges of driving under the influence last month.
Tiger, 50, was detained by police after rolling his SUV in a crash near Jupiter Island, Fla., on March 27. He passed a breathalyzer test for alcohol on the scene, but refused to consent to urinalysis to test for narcotics or medications. Deputies then allegedly found two hydrocodone pills in Woods’ left pants pocket.
According to an affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, Tiger advised deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at the scene of the crash that "he’s had seven back surgeries and over 20 operations on his leg.” When he was asked if he had taken any prescription medication, Woods said, “I take a few.”
A Jupiter source tells PEOPLE that Tiger's family, including Vanessa, 48, have been supportive of the golf pro following the arrest.
"People are quick to judge Tiger, but he’s living through a lot of pain and has been for enough years where it has taken a toll on his quality of life in addition to his golf game,” the source says. "He is committed now to getting better, however long that takes. His family is behind him. They support him."
Despite rumors to the contrary, the source says, Vanessa "loves Tiger and supports him" during this difficult time.
“She has been there for him despite how busy she is with her children and her own life,” the source adds. “She loves him and cares about him. She wants him to feel good, play well, and be happy.”
On April 3, the former model posted a simple message of support on Instagram, sharing a photo of her and Tiger, with the caption "Love you."

Following his arrest, Tiger dropped out of this weekend's Masters Tournament, turned down his role as captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team and was granted permission by a judge to seek treatment outside the country.

Another Florida source tells PEOPLE Tiger’s family is behind him in his recovery, having worried about him for quite some time.
“They want to do whatever they can to help him through this period and get back to as normal a life as possible after all of these years in the public eye,” the source says.
“They know his more recent life with pain has been tough, and they hope people will offer him some kindness.”

Even Vanessa's ex-husband, Donald Trump Jr. — with whom she shares five children — has been supportive of her relationship.
“Don Jr. has been supportive of Tiger and Vanessa, especially when it comes to the kids, which is always his main focus,” a source close to the Trumps recently told PEOPLE. “But the recent situation raised some concerns for him.”

The source added that Don “knows Vanessa can make her own decisions, but they’re a team when it comes to coparenting.”
“He’s just thankful Vanessa and the kids weren’t involved,” the source said of Don's outlook.
