Pink will be stepping in for Kelly Clarkson for a week on The Kelly Clarkson Show

The "So What" singer is temporarily assuming hosting duties as part of Women's History Month

Clarkson will return to host her show for the rest of season 7

Kelly Clarkson will briefly be away from The Kelly Clarkson Show for the week of March 2, but she has another Grammy-award winner filling in for her.

NBC announced that Pink would be stepping in as a guest host for a special round of episodes in honor of Women’s History Month. Pink is hosting for Clarkson for the full week of March 2, and the episodes are celebrating "women’s achievements, resilience and impact across music, culture and community," per a press release.

Both Clarkson and Pink expressed excitement about the switch-up, with Clarkson joking that the "only thing that bums me out" about her replacement is that she won't be there to see it. In addition to Pink's hosting duties, the week will also include surprise performances from various artists.

NBC has not announced when Clarkson is returning to her show, but they teased that there may be other guest hosts in the future. The hosting swap comes just a few weeks after Clarkson announced that she's ending the daytime talk show at the end of season 7.

Here's everything to know about Pink stepping in for Kelly Clarkson on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Pink is stepping in for Clarkson from March 2 through March 6 on The Kelly Clarkson Show. The "Just Give Me a Reason" singer has previously appeared on the talk show as a guest — including in a 2023 episode when she and Clarkson sang versions of "Please Don't Leave Me," “What About Us" and "Who Knew."

"The only thing that bums me out about Pink hosting a week of The Kelly Clarkson Show is that I’m not going to be able to be there to watch her," Clarkson said in a press release. "I have been a fan for so long and have always been inspired by her music and her person. I love her."

Pink also shared her excitement about hosting, and added, "I’ve played stadiums and danced on the side of buildings, but stepping in to guest host for my girl Kelly Clarkson is a brand new feat. Let’s celebrate women, joy, resilience and whatever comes else comes our way."

Clarkson will continue hosting season 7 of The Kelly Clarkson Show until it comes to an end in fall 2026. On Feb. 2, Clarkson announced that the current season would be her last.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,' both in Los Angeles and New York,” she wrote in an Instagram statement. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons."

She continued, "I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner."

Clarkson also used the opportunity to explain that her decision was motivated by wanting to "prioritize" her two children: daughter River and son Remington "Remy," who she shares with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

"This was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives," she explained.

A source later told PEOPLE that she's preparing for her next chapter and hoping to incorporate more "balance."

“After years of an intense daily schedule, she’s excited to move at a different pace and have more flexibility to spend time with her kids without the structure of a daily show," a source told PEOPLE in early February.

They added, "This change gives her the space to be more present at home while still doing the creative work she loves. Kelly still wants to make music and perform, and she’s open to popping up on projects she enjoys, but nothing that requires an ongoing daily grind. For her, this next phase is about balance.”
