'Kelly Clarkson Show' reveals the first guest host of its final season

As Kelly Clarkson phases out her daytime talk show, NBC is rolling out the celebrities who will fill in for her throughout the year.

Grammy-winning singer P!nk is the first of Clarkson's guest hosts to be announced. She will take the helm the week of March 2, kicking off "a special week of episodes celebrating Women’s History Month," NBC announced Feb. 9.

Throughout the week, the show will share inspiring stories of women who are breaking barriers and uplifting others, as well as "surprise performances."

"I've played stadiums and danced on the side of buildings, but stepping in to guest host for my girl Kelly Clarkson is a brand new feat" P!NK said in a statement. "Let's celebrate women, joy, resilience and whatever else comes our way!"

In 2023, Clarkson and Pink joined forces to perform duets of tracks such as "Who Knew" and "Please Don't Leave Me' on "The Kelly Clarkson Show.

"The only thing that bums me out about P!NK hosting a week of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' is that I’m not going to be able to be there to watch her," Clarkson said in a statement.

Other "special guest hosts" will be announced later, with Season 7 episodes continuing to air through the fall. A finale date has not been announced.

On Monday, Feb. 2, the singer-turned-host announced that her Daytime Emmy-winning "Kelly Clarkson Show" will end after seven seasons. NBCUniversal's news release described Clarkson's move as "personal decision to step away from hosting a talk show after this season."

"This was not an easy decision — but this season will be my last," Clarkson wrote in an Instagram post. "Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this chapter of our lives."

In August, her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock died at 48 years old following a three-year battle with skin cancer. They had two children together: River Rose, 11, and Remy Alexander, 9.
