Lori Greiner worked her way up the QVC ladder in the 1990s, eventually becoming known as 'The Queen of QVC'

Today, Greiner is known as a business powerhouse and one of the sharks on Shark Tank

An early appearance, shared with PEOPLE from part two of 'A QVC Story,' shows a giggling Greiner as she does a simple demonstration that doesn't go as planned

Lori Greiner wasn't always a perfectly poised host.

A playful side of the Shark Tank businesswoman, 56, appears in episode two of A QVC Story, the four-part docuseries chronicling the history of QVC as the channel celebrates its 40th anniversary.

In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE, Greiner is seen on The QVC Morning Show in 2003, demonstrating an assistive bottle opener called "Mighty Hands Easy Openers."

She demonstrates on a seltzer bottle, but is surprised as with the simple turn of her wrist, the bottle begins to explode, spraying her and host Pat James-DeMentri.

The two women laugh hysterically as Greiner says, "That was a nice refresher."

Episode two is titled, "Building Legacies," sharing with viewers how QVC became a focal point for Hollywood and celebrities in the '90s, expanded internationally and went across the country looking for American-made products.

In 1986, the QVC live channel debuted and changed the way people shopped, quickly becoming a beloved household name.

As for Greiner, she became known in the business world after patenting a plastic jewelry organizer, the first of many inventions in her portfolio that would be wildly successful.

"There are so many venues that can play a role in your selling strategy, but in my opinion, there is simply no better selling medium for a new inventor than a shopping channel like QVC," Greiner told Entrepreneur in 2018. "Once you know how to market something out of a certain medium, then it becomes easier to continue marketing other products out of that same medium."

These products brought her to QVC and becoming the 'Queen of QVC' led right to Shark Tank.

Greiner began appearing as a guest judge in early 2012, joining as a full-time shark the following season and continuing her reign to this day. Her 2014 decision to invest in Scrub Daddy became one of the show's most profitable investments to date.

Part two of A QVC Story premieres on Saturday, June 13. The entire documentary will be available on demand and will stream on QVC+ and HSN+.
