Zara Larsson is sharing her thoughts on Alysa Liu's viral performance of "Stateside"
Liu delivered a routine to Larsson and PinkPantheress' hit collaboration at the Olympic figure skating exhibition gala on Saturday, Feb. 21
"When I saw her perform it just brought me to tears," said Larsson
Zara Larsson is a fan of Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu.
Liu, 20, delivered a viral performance of Larsson and PinkPantheress’ “Stateside” at the Olympic figure skating exhibition gala on Saturday, Feb. 21, just two days after winning gold in the figure skating final. Larsson, 28, spoke about her reaction to Liu’s routine while chatting with fans ahead of her Midnight Sun Tour show in Portland on Feb. 28 and revealed she wants to bring the athlete on stage soon.
"I would love. I’m trying to see where she could come, ‘cause she couldn’t make the Oakland show where she lives, ‘cause she won’t be home," said Larsson, according to a fan video shared to Instagram. "But I’m like, ‘So, where are you? Can you come to a show?’ Like, please! That would be so amazing, ‘cause I feel like she really pushed ‘Stateside’ and besides that, I was just so emotional."

"I can’t be the only one," the "Midnight Sun" singer added. "When I saw her perform it just brought me to tears. The more I watched it the more emotional I got. It was so inspiring just seeing her do what she love and it just felt so natural. It was really, really beautiful."
Larsson explained she "would obviously love" to meet Liu in person, whether the figure skater wants to "be a part of" her concert or "just come to a show."

"But apparently she bought her brother tickets to my show for Christmas," continued the Swedish pop star. "So, hopefully she’ll make a show. I think she feels the love from everyone right now."
Following Liu's performance of "Stateside," the song spent some time at No. 1 on the U.S. Spotify chart. It currently sits at No. 2 on both the streaming platform's U.S. and global charts.
Larsson previously shared a TikTok video of herself reacting to Liu's performance, while PinkPantheress posted a clip of herself dancing to the song and wrote, "We love you Alysa Liu !!!"
The Midnight Sun Tour continues with its next stop in Oakland, Calif. on March 3.
